Moore'sIn 1985, Dale Moore founded Moore’s Electrical and Mechanical Construction, Inc. with a Vision of three goals: One, to build a company that our team members could be proud of and feel is the best place they have ever worked. Two, to give our customers the best service they had ever experienced. And three, to give back to the communities we serve. Now, over twenty years later, our Vision remains the same, and the company has grown to over 350 full-time employees serving the entire state of Virginia and northern North Carolina. Moore’s is also licensed to do business in South Carolina, Georgia, and Tennessee.

Our corporate headquarters are based in Altavista, Virginia. We also have branch offices located in Charlottesville, Richmond, and Chesapeake. Our services include; electrical, HVAC, plumbing, piping, chillers, refrigeration, design/build, sales and service, controls, industrial maintenance, facilities management, and we offer 24-hour emergency service.

Our company was founded on the vision of putting our customers and their needs first. With Quality, Care, and Vision we work to not only meet their expectations, but to exceed them. Each member of our service, construction, and design teams are committed to the principles of service and commitment to our customers. Our clients range from small general contractors to large manufacturing companies, and each one is important to us. To help us provide better service, we are very active in service and construction peer groups from six states, with the principles founded on attaining a “customer focused best practices” format.

Moore’s takes safety very seriously, and continually trains and promotes safety in all of our divisions. Steve Rogers is our full time Safety Director. He comprehensively reviews all safety guidelines with our customers’ safety representatives. We have quarterly safety classes for all supervisors and managers. Safety talks are held weekly on every field job, and are monitored with written reports. Safety memos are also sent out with every paycheck.

As part of our vision, we work to support the youth of our region by supporting youth related charities and organizations. Our young people are our future, and at Moore’s, we value family and community. Moore’s Electrical and Mechanical Construction, Inc. is not just building in our communities; we are shaping our communities as well.
